EXEC Security Wins Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding) at the 2026 OSPAs

We’re proud to announce that EXEC Security has been named Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding) at the 2026 Australia Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), marking our second win in this category in three years.

Presented at the Australian Security Industry Awards in Melbourne on 28 October, the award recognises excellence in security guarding across Australia.

This year’s recognition is particularly meaningful as EXEC celebrates its 20th anniversary. It’s an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come, recognise the people who have contributed to our success and thank the clients who have been part of it.

20 Years of EXEC Security

Founded in 2006 by our CEO, Michael Cohen, EXEC began as a small Melbourne security business. Twenty years later, we’ve grown into a national security provider, delivering guarding, mobile patrols, electronic security and Grade A1 monitoring to clients across Australia and New Zealand and supporting a broad range of industries.

While our business has changed considerably over the years, our focus on building strong client relationships, supporting our people and delivering dependable security services has remained consistent.

Investing in the People Behind Our Services

Over the past 18 months, EXEC has experienced significant growth, creating new opportunities to strengthen our frontline operations and the teams supporting them.

We’ve welcomed 123 new security officers, expanded our permanent head office team and promoted several employees into leadership positions.

We’ve also continued investing in specialist training, employee wellbeing and technology that supports our officers in the field.

From our Operations team coordinating rosters and deployments to our Grade A1 Security Operations Centre providing round-the-clock monitoring and escalation support, every service we deliver relies on the collective efforts of people working behind the scenes.

Our frontline officers remain central to this success. Their professionalism, commitment and the care they take in their work are ultimately what make recognition like this possible.

Strengthening Our Capabilities

Alongside our workforce growth, we’ve continued to invest in our broader security capabilities.

Our Grade A1 Security Operations Centre has undergone significant upgrades to its systems, infrastructure and procedures, while our in-house Electronic Security team has expanded to support a growing portfolio of CCTV, access control and alarm system projects.

We’ve also strengthened our mobile patrol capabilities and invested in digital systems that improve communication, reporting and operational oversight.

These investments are helping us deliver a more connected, responsive and consistent service to our clients, bringing together guarding, monitoring, mobile patrols and electronic security under one provider.

One of the most rewarding aspects of EXEC’s growth has been the relationships we’ve built along the way.

Over the past 18 months, 22% of our existing clients have expanded their engagement with EXEC, while many long-standing partnerships have continued to grow.

We’re grateful for the confidence our clients place in us and for the opportunity to protect their people, properties and operations every day.

Looking Ahead

As a 2026 Australia OSPAs winner, EXEC will now progress to the Global OSPAs, where our achievements will be recognised alongside security organisations from around the world.

As we close out our 20th anniversary year, we’re looking forward to building on this momentum, continuing to invest in our people and capabilities, and finding new ways to deliver value to the clients and communities we serve.
