Who is EXEC Security?

EXEC Security is an Australian owned national company that specialises in end-to-end security solutions spanning security guarding, mobile patrols, armed services, concierge crowd control and electronic security solutions supported by our state-of-the-art Grade A1 Security Operations Centre (SOC). Underpinning our services is our Rrisk advisory and consulting team of experts who provide bespoke security solutions.

EXEC Security was formed in 2006 in response to the need for a security company with a service-driven approach. Since then, the growth of EXEC Security and its client base has been developed due to excellent service delivery and referral.

Our Leadership Team

EXEC Security’s leadership team combines deep industry expertise with a hands-on approach to guiding the company’s growth and success. We operate with clear lines of accountability and responsibility, ensuring every function of the business is managed with precision and purpose. Our executives are actively involved in day-to-day operations, enabling rapid decision-making, streamlined communication, and consistently high standards of service delivery for our clients.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Michael Cohen is the CEO and co-founder of EXEC Security, a national security provider established in 2006. With over 20 years of industry experience, he has built EXEC into an industry leading business servicing commercial, industrial, education, retail, hospitality, government, and private sectors across Australia.

Known for delivering sophisticated, tailored security solutions, Michael combines strategic oversight with a hands-on understanding of operations, client engagement, and corporate governance. He has led major security programs for large-scale corporate accounts and critical infrastructure projects, integrating cutting-edge technology and highly skilled personnel to achieve measurable results.

Under his leadership, EXEC has twice been listed in the BRW Fast 100 and was named 2024 OSPA Guarding Company of the Year, recognising the company’s excellence in service delivery and innovation. Michael has also received three Anthill Top 30 Under 30 Young Entrepreneur Awards.

Michael is passionate about building a culture where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow. This focus on staff wellbeing and professional development has created a team that is not only highly skilled but deeply committed to delivering outstanding outcomes for clients. Today, he is driving EXEC’s evolution into a technology-led security business—leveraging AI, automation, and data-driven systems to lift industry standards, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver clients unmatched protection and value.

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Danny Harris joined EXEC in 2012 as Chief Financial Officer with a mandate to spearhead the company’s strategic financial management and operational growth. His leadership has been instrumental in defining and executing EXEC’s financial strategy, ensuring the company’s robust financial health and fostering an environment of strategic growth and operational excellence. Prior to his tenure at EXEC, Danny enriched his professional portfolio as a Accountant at Pitcher Partners, where he developed an acute acumen for financial strategy and management.

Under Danny’s financial stewardship, EXEC has achieved significant milestones in financial performance and strategic positioning. His approach is characterised by a meticulous focus on aligning financial and business strategies to drive growth, optimise operational efficiency, and ensure financial integrity and transparency.

Danny oversees EXEC’s finance and accounting divisions, driving initiatives that encompass comprehensive financial planning, P&L management, rigorous audit and compliance oversight, as well as strategic operating and working capital management. His expertise extends to sophisticated budget development and financial modelling, setting the financial foundation for EXEC’s success in the competitive security sector.

Danny’s academic credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and a Master’s in Accounting from Monash University. Further solidifying his commitment to excellence in corporate governance and strategic leadership, he is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and has completed the Foundations of Directorship course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
