As Australia achieves vaccination targets, and as we move through the roadmap out of lockdowns and restrictions, it is expected that Covid-19 cases will increase in the community.

In response to this, many organisations and workplaces are already working hard to put in place strategies to minimise the risk Covid-19 exposure poses to their workers, their business and to the wider community.

ESS’s Rapid Antigen Tests and administration officers are designed to support businesses and communities with fast and accurate diagnostics for COVID-19. Workplace Rapid Antigen Tests gives businesses the opportunity to implement a compliant and cost-effective approach to testing.Key benefits to our Rapid Antigen Tests include:

Rapid antigen tests provide workplaces the ability to quickly screen their workers for Covid-19 any time throughout the day with very little waiting time. The test can be conducted almost anywhere, without special facilities. The sample collection process is less invasive than PCR testing.

The fast turnaround of results allows immediate action to be taken if anyone returns a positive screening test. Rapid antigen testing makes it easier for more regular testing of staff which increases the chances of picking up anyone who may be carrying Covid-19. Faster detection and faster action means limiting the potential spread of Covid-19 in the workplace, which helps to protect your staff and help to keep your workplace open.

We have implemented the following initiatives to ensure as a company we have remained compliant, kept our people and clients safe and limit the spread of Covid.

  • Established a COVID-19 Committee, who partake in regular meetings to ensure all ESS employees are informed with the evolving Australian and state guidelines
  • Communicated regular COVID-19 updates for our staff via our workforce management system, our employee communications platform, as well as email, text message and dedicated posters for staff rooms.
  • Establishment and enforcement of our Covid-19Safety Plan
  • Developed and implemented infection control, Social Distancing, Managing Density Levels, Recongising Covid-19 Symptoms and Mental Health training modules to all staff through regular Toolbox Sessions
  • Implemented a Business Continuity Plan that has been regularly tested
  • Implemented rotational rostered teams at all sites where possible to ensure staff of either team do not come into physical contact, thereby if an incident of infection is identified, the alternative team remain free of contact
  • Instructed all employees who could work from home to work from home.
  • Provided guidelines to Security teams on using PPE when responding to First Aid situations, ensuring gloves and masks available to all first responder staff
  • Established a staff helpline channel to answer any COVID-19 queries through our Security Operations Centre
